Propheris specialises in marketing communications and internet development for the health sector. We create and implement focused strategies to enhance communications both outside and within an organisation. We are strong advocates of Open Source solutions and employ them whenever appropriate to the task at hand.
Propheris creates targeted concepts, implements timely delivery and carefully measures project success. All with a client service focus. We provide a unique blend of technical proficiency and marketing insight. Our staff have developed and implemented many world class multinational corporate intranet environments and consumer marketing initiatives for clients including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Bayer and gsk.

Paul Syrysko
Paul is a marketing and communications specialist. He developed intranets from the mid 90′s for Unilever and has a long and successful history in multinational advertising, working across the world for consumer giants such as P&G, Coca Cola, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson and Bayer. Soon after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he launched the international ad agency Lintas (now Lowe) in Poland. He was CEO in Germany for media specialists Starcom and Regional Director Eastern Europe with ad agency Leo Burnett, with operational responsibility for 15 countries. He has a passion for integrated communications and is an expert on innovation, having delivered training on creative communications thinking for GSK, Saatchi & Saatchi and others. Paul is a keen (but shaky) guitarist and speaks passable French. He is also a member of the Medical Research Council’s Public Panel, advising on marketing and data issues.
Guy Roberts
Guy is a software developer. He has an MSc in Computer Science from Essex University and an MBA from Nottingham University. He’s a Sun certified Java programmer and has garnered a deep knowledge of various contemporary software languages and platforms like C/C++, Ruby on Rails, SQL, PHP, Javascript, Tomcat and Oracle. Over the past 20 years he’s developed a wide variety of web systems and applications for Leicestershire County Council, the Geological Society, and CA Plus Community Accounting, Advantica, Schlumberger, Esis (now Logica), Marconi and Racal. Guy is a qualified glider pilot and a keen runner.
Aleks Dąbrowski
Aleks is a Ruby developer and advocate. He has worked in a variety of start-ups and in a marketing agency. He is a powerful Ruby advocate and co-organises Warsaw’s Ruby User Group. Aleks is also the author of rubysfera.pl, the leading Polish blog focused on Ruby and Rails. Aleks is a speaker at international Ruby developer events and is very passionate about sharing his knowledge with others. Along with using and contributing to open source software, Aleks particularly enjoys deleting ugly code, and in his spare time repairs cars.
Kris Leech
Kris started with BASIC when he was just seven years old and is largely self taught. His favorite tools include Ruby, Rspec, Git, Vim, Zsh, GNU/Linux, Javascript, JBoss and Pascal. He has a focus on productivity and providing maximum value to stakeholders, believing this involves not just getting things done, but doing things right. Kris has engineered a number of large scale web applications, including work for NHS Nottingham City Primary Care Trust, Nottingham County Council, Nottingham Trent University and a number of successful start-ups. He is also a keen open source contributor with active involvement in over 20 projects. Kris teaches a 5-day RubyOnRails course in London, plays 5-a-side football and has recently become a father for the first time.
James Lindeman
James is a designer passionate about visual communication and interaction design. He strives to create distinctive, engaging designs and simple, intuitive interactions. Since the late nineties he has been designing and building websites, creating user interfaces and branding. James has produced work both independently and worked for an agency where he developed digital services and led design and development. He has worked with a wide range of commercial and non-commercial organisations including the NHS, the University of Lincoln, the WWF, British Gypsum, Branston and The Toy Retailers Association. When James is away from his sketchbooks and computer screens he indulges his love for music, occasionally attempting to play guitar.
